OBJECTIVE Designing the program, choosing speakers, researching event design, and creating the identity for the whole conference was the task here.
RESEARCH Based on research, I developed a campaign for an older Gen Z audience that was active in their community, artistic, and fun-loving. The conference’s intent was to get them excited to start a career in design and to think in different ways.
CONCEPT The concept for the event and campaign was inspiring curiosity and showcasing uniqueness. The conference name “design+thinking” is part of this, we want to spark a passion and curiosity about design and showcase its ever-changing and growing field.

design+thinking: a design conference for Gen Z
VISUALS To represent the concept visuals, I paired the blackletter type with a monotype and used physical printing and scanning distortion methods to alter it. This unique, exploratory visual paired with the bright and dreamy gradients, work to enhance the feeling of uniqueness.
For participant passes, I created looks that would be individualized based on how they saw themselves and got to choose on sign up for the event. Categories included “artist” “creative” “rebel” and “thinker”. Passes were designed for lanyards, smartwatches, and phones.
